Full Job Description:
· We are seeking an experienced Medium Truck / Heavy Duty Diesel Truck & Equipment Mechanic to join our team. Duties will include the repair, service and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment. You will be working on a variety of equipment including pickup trucks, flatbeds, dump truck, tractor trailer, backhoe, skid steer, manlifts, forklifts, trailers, gas powered welders and construction equipment.
· We are looking for a reliable individual willing to wear multiple hats. All workers are hired on a 90-day probationary period after which they will be offered benefits.
· Note: this job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may have to perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the company.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a heavy truck and equipment diesel mechanic.
· Previous experience operating and maintaining equipment in the construction industry.
· Be capable of lifting 75 pounds, frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
· Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Vocational / Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic training a plus.
· Pass a pre-employment screening including background check, drug test and physical.
· Have a valid, clean driver’s license/CDL. If no Class A CDL, you must be willing to obtain.
· Must be willing to work a flexible schedule if required.
· Must have your own tools required to perform job duties.
· Welding / fabrication skills are a plus.
Required Skills / Responsibilities:
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company trucks and equipment.
· Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
· Keep accurate records, noting repairs and maintenance activities.
· Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
· Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and schematics.
· Purchase parts and consumables as required.
· Safely transport company equipment to and from the job site as needed.
· Repair company vehicles and or equipment on the job site if required.
· Ensure company vehicles and equipment are kept clean and maintained as needed.
· Follow all required safety protocols and guidelines while operating company vehicles and equipment.
· Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.
· All other duties as assigned.

History
Owner Vincent J. Borrelli started working in the steel construction industry as a draftsman in 1979 for Paull Enginerering/P-K Industries, Inc. a local engineering and structural steel brokerage firm in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. From 1979 to 1992 his experience grew working as draftsman, estimator, project manager and eventually Vice President of the company until it was time to venture out on his own.
In 1992, Vincent J. Borrelli, Inc. was incorporated. Originally a broker of structural steel fabrication and erection services operating out of Berlin, New Jersey. Vincent J. Borrelli, Inc. served the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware area. Over the years the company grew to become a reliable source in the steel construction industry by completing many significant projects for both owners and general contractors on time and on budget.
In 1994 in an effort to expand our customer base, and diversify our services, we became an “Authorized Builder” for Ceco Building Systems, a leading pre-engineered metal building manufacturer. During this relationship we have been recognized by Ceco Building Systems as one of the leading builders in the tri-state area.
As part of our continuing growth and determination to better serve our customers it was time to invest in the future once again. In 2005 we designed and constructed a new 13,500 SF office and steel fabrication facility located in the Vineland Industrial Park, Vineland, New Jersey. With the construction of our new facility and the transformation from steel broker to steel fabricator we used this opportunity to restructure and rename the company to what it is known as today.
In 2007, we designed and constructed a second building, which houses our 3,600 square foot stair & rail fabrication facility. As business continued to grow, it was once again time to expand. In 2017, we designed, detailed, and constructed additions to each of our buildings, increasing our overall facility area from 13,500 square feet to 22,100 square feet.
